The beautiful areas of the Welsh Marches and the delightful Cotswolds are combined in one leisurely paced driver-guided tour. The soft honey-colored Cotswold villages give way to the jagged tors and huddled ridges of Shropshire, undulating Welsh pastures and distinctive half-timbered houses in Herefordshire.

Day
1 Arrive and relax in the Cotswolds amongst a host of honey-colored stone built cottages.
Day 2
Start your day with a visit to the amazing Hidcote Gardens. Via attractive
Chipping Camden, take in unusual Snowshill Manor before "village
hopping" en route to the wool town of Stow-on-the-Wold.
Day 3
Drive along part of the "Romantic Road" through Burford and
Northleach heading to pleasant Cirencester. In undulating countryside,
visit the delightful town of Painswick with its Rococo Gardens.
Day 4
Splendid scenery on the way to a ruined 13th century abbey and magnificent
Sudeley Castle with history dating back 1000 years. We have time to explore
the Spa town of Cheltenham or discover the villages and towns in the Severn
Vale.
Day 5
A stunning drive through the Golden Valley or Black Mountains takes us
to Hay-on-Wye in Wales for antique and book-lovers. Then we explore the
beauty of Herefordshire's "Black & White" villages.
Day 6
Towards Ludlow, a delightful and lively market town. Spend the morning
exploring its narrow lanes, its 900 year old castle and graceful Georgian
streets. We'll go into the Shropshire Hills and Montgomeryshire countryside
for superb panoramic views.
Day 7
A Shakespeare play in Stratford?
Arrival & Departure:
Arrival transfer from Melrose Bus Station.
Departure transfer to Kelso Bus Station.
