Arrive at your hotel to meet your guide. Take an evening stroll and enjoy a welcome dinner, introductions and a preview of your stay.

Day 2
A visit to the delightful Lune Valley. Ancient villages, babbling brooks, old churches, winding lanes originally recommended to travelers by William Wordsworth! Call in at friends for coffee before going inside impressive Lancaster Castle.

Day 3
In the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty of Silverdale, call at a church that flies the Stars and Stripes before strolling through the grounds of Leighton Hall. Enjoy the stunning views over the Bay to the Lakeland Hills.

Day 4
Explore the unvisited lower fells at the tip of famous Lake Windermere. See the impressive 12th C monastic church in delightful Cartmel village and Holker Hall and gardens, owned by Lord & Lady Cavendish. Then explore around Bowland Bridge discovering the delights of this little visited corner of the Lake District.

Day 5
On the shores of Lake Coniston, visit John Ruskin's home. Awe-inspiring scenery as we wind our way through Beatrix Potter country. You'll also explore the bustling centre of Ambleside nestling on the North tip of Lake Windermere.

Day 6
In the heart of the Lakeland mountains, we explore little-known valleys of Kentmere and Troutbeck. Time permitting we can then visit the hustle and bustle of market town Kendal or Town End Cottage.

Day 7
Maybe stay and take a rowboat out on Lake Windermere?
